Made of very high quality stainless steel (316L), these UV units have unprecedented high efficiency at a high flow rate.
Thanks to the 150 mm diameter housing, a guaranteed exposure to UV radiation of min. 2 seconds is provided at the specified flow rate (see table). By using a special “High Intensity” UV lamp that has an output power of 30,000 microwatts and the minimum exposure of 2 seconds, they kill not only suspended algae, but also 99.9% of many harmful bacteria and viruses, including Aeromonas, Pseudomonas and Legionella.
In principle, with these lamps one does not look at the pond content, but at the (actual) pump capacity per hour. BIO-UV lamps are used, among others, in hatcheries, holding tanks, ponds, bathing ponds, swimming pools. Maximum 3 bar at continuous operation, maximum water temperature 40° C. The burning time of the lamp is 13000 hours (about 1 ½ years).
